Robert J. Bedner; 73; of Scottdale; died Sunday; Aug. 25; 2002; in Frick Memorial Hospital; Mt. Pleasant. Born April 14; 1929; in Monessen; he was a son of the late John H. and Anna Zdila Bedner. He retired from the Monessen plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. and was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by one sister; Dorothy Jones; four brothers; John J.; Francis R.; Thomas E. and Michael P. Bedner. Survivors include one brother; Philip Bedner of West Newton; two sisters; Mary Ann Rusnak of Belle Vernon and Betty Hall of Monessen; and nieces and nephews. There will be no public visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate a Funeral Mass on Friday; Aug. 30; at 10 a.m. in Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church; Monessen. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
