Elizabeth D. Fundy of North Belle Vernon died Thursday; July 11; 2002; in Mon Valley Hospital. A daughter of the late John and Ann Kerestes Derzy; she was born in Sutersville. Mrs. Fundy was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church of Belle Vernon; the Tuesday Evening Women’s Club for over 50 years; the Belle Vernon and Fayette City Golden Agers; the Monessen Civic Center; and the Bear Rocks Resort Club. She was a licensed realtor and; along with her late husband; Frank; started Fundy’s Furniture in Webster in 1964 and then moved the business to North Belle Vernon in 1978. Survivors include one son; Joe Krivoniak of Coal Center; two daughters; Linda Lee Hammer of Pasadena; Md.; and Sandra K. Fundy of Mt. Washington; Pittsburgh; and Vail; Colo.; five grandchildren; Joseph A. Krivoniak IV; Susan Baxter; Brian; David and Dawn Lamb; and two great-grandchildren; Tyler and Kimberly Baxter. The youngest of seven children; and last surviving; in addition to her parents; Mrs. Fundy was preceded in death by her first husband; Joseph A. Krivoniak; on Dec. 25; 1940; and her second husband of 52 years; Frank F. Fundy; on Aug. 11; 1998. Friends will be received Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC.; a Golden Rule Member Firm; 700 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon. A Blessing Service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday; July 13; at 10 a.m.; followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Sebastian R.C. Church at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. John Cindric; V.F. as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
