Obituary

Roy Dickerson, aged about 21 years of Belle Vernon, died at 2 o'clock Friday mornng,January 14,1916 of pneumonia. The deceased had been ill only a few days. Tuesday afternoon he left his duties at the drafting department of the Page Woven Wire Fence company where for the past two years he had been employed, feeling ill. He had a heavy cold and thought that by caring for himself for a short time he would soon be able to return to his duties. But he was stricken with pneumonia in its most serious form and his condition gradually grew worse until this morning when he was relieved by death. Mr. Dickerson was the son of Burgess Dickerson of North Belle Vernon and was widely and popularly known. He had a host of friends in and about Monessen who will be pained to learn of the young man's sudden and unexpected death.
