Obituary

Stella Giampetro, 80, formerly of James Street, Belle Vernon, died Tuesday, June 18, 2002, in Mon Valley Hospital. A daughter of the late Michael and Margarhita Penetinte Giampetro, she was born in Belle Vernon on May 4, 1922. She was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church of Belle Vernon and retired from the former JIB Restaurant and the Charleroi Hotel. Mrs. Giampetro had resided in Charleroi from 1953 to 1988, when she moved back to Seldom Seen. Survivors include four nieces, Margaret Ruscetti and husband Tony of Waynesburg, Joanne Cardinale Loera and husband Arthur of Belle Vernon, Patty Rubachko and husband Ralph of Charleroi, and Rita Vagnoni and husband Len of Belle Vernon, two nephews, Michael Jampedro of Monessen, and James Jampedro of Donora, many great nieces and nephews, including Michael Semancik, his wife Teresa, their children Jenna Ann and Michael Jr. and Mac Molek, all of Belle Vernon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Mario DeBennett and James Jampedro, and one sister, Jennie Cardinale. A blessing service was held this morning in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC., a Golden Rule Member Firm, 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon. Interment followed in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
