Obituary

James K. Adams, 71, of Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon, died Tuesday, April 16, 2002, in Canonsburg Hospital. A son of the late George K. and Helen M. Lehew Adams, he was born Feb. 26, 1931, in Monessen. Mr. Adams was a member of Rehoboth Presbyterian Church and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He owned and operated the Puritan Insurance Agency in Belle Vernon for many years prior to his retirement in 1988. Formerly of Bentleyville, he had resided in Belle Vernon for the past 13 years. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Donna Bond Adams, three sons and two daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Beth Adams of State College, Kirk and Noreen Adams of Mt. Lebanon, and Keith Adams of San Diego, Calif., one brother, George W. Adams of Belle Vernon, and nine grandchildren, Eric, Ryan, Andy, Nora, Kyle, Chris, Danny, Amy and Matt Adams. Friends will be received in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC., a Golden Rule Member Firm, 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Richard C. Klein officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
