Verline Lynn Jones; 76; of 415 Second Street; Monessen; went home to be with the Lord on Sunday; Feb. 17; 2002. She died at Mon Valley Hospital. Verline was born Oct. 4; 1925; in Kosciusko; Miss. She was the daughter of the late Willie and Callie Thompson Mays. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church of Monessen. She is survived by three daughters; Gwendolyn Price of Bronx; N.Y.; and Verda Jones and Lorraine Pryer; both of Monessen; four sons; Dennis Jones Jr. of Kelkheim; Germany; Larry Jones Sr. of Waynesburg; and Roderick and Garriton Jones; both of Monessen; two sisters; Annie Ruth Johnson of Bronx; N.Y. and Inez Mays of Monessen; two brothers; Oliver Mays and his wife Carol of Monessen and Ollie Mays of Los Angeles; Calif.; three nephews; James and Curtis Mays of Monessen and Wayne Mays of Bronx; N.Y.; one niece; Raynelle Mays of Monessen; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her beloved husband; Dennis B. Jones Sr. Friends will be received in the Fellowship Baptist Church in Monessen on Wednesday; Feb. 20; from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday; Feb. 21; at 11 a.m. in Fellowship Baptist Church; with the Rev.
