Obituary

Anna Tadavich Wassilchalk, 79, of 1008 Hill St., Belle Vernon, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2001, at 8:15 p.m. in Mt. Macrina Manor, Uniontown. Born Dec. 20, 1921, in Pricedale, she was a daughter of the late George and Catherine Czizak Tadavich. Mrs. Wassilchalk was a lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, a homemaker and a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church in Monessen. She was also a member of St. Mary's Rosary Society and the Belle Vernon Golden Age Assembly. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Mike Wassilchalk, a son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Carol Wassilchalk Jr. of North Belle Vernon, a daughter and son-in-law, Rose Marie and Edward Lesovic of Belle Vernon, a sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Harry Gregory of Belle Vernon, and four grandchildren, Alice and Christian Breckenridge of Belle Vernon, Mark and Gala Wassilchalk of Somerset, Donna Wassilchalk of Belle Vernon and Scott Lesovic of Belle Vernon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Tadavich Davin. Visitation will be Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon. Prayer service will be held Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, Monessen, with Msgr. Andrew D. Parvensky officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Parish Rosary will be Monday at 2 p.m., followed by services by the North Belle Vernon Fire Department at 7 p.m. and the Service for the Dead at 7:15 p.m., all in the funeral home.
