Evelyn M. Jenkins; 96; formerly of Sampson Street; Belle Vernon; died Saturday; Nov. 10; 2001; in Victoria House Personal Care Home. She was born May 15; 1905; in Belle Vernon; a daughter of the late Faustino and Lavina Bellandi Meacci. She was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters of America Court 1522; the Annita Garibaldi Lodge of Belle Vernon and the Friends of the Veterans. Survivors include nieces and nephews; and two friends; Lillian Antal and Ann Husovitz; both of Belle Vernon. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; John Dale Jenkins on Oct. 4; 1988; one brother; Thomas Meacci; and four sisters; Sylvia Bartolozzi; Maggie Valdiserri; Irene Meacci; and Neva Evans. Friends to were received Tuesday in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC.; 700 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon; where a prayer service will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.; followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church; Belle Vernon. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The rosary will be recited Tuesday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home led by members of St. Sebastian Church. The Annita Garibaldi Society will meet in the funeral home to hold services Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
