James woods,an aged and respected man of this community,died Wednesday morning, June 28,1916 at 8:30 at the home of his daughter,Mrs Ralph Lee of Pricedale. Mr. Woods was 75 years of age and had been suffering for some time from a complication of diseases. Besides his wife, the deceased is survived by the following children: W.A.Woods of 683 Reed avenue,Monessen,Mrs. C.J.Harris of Olean,N.Y.; Mrs. Frazier McCellan of Hammond,Ind.,Mrs. Ralph Lee of Pricedale,B.F. Woods of Selma,Calif.,and Mrs. James Higgins of Selma,Calif.,recuperating after a protracted illness and it is not thought the California children will be able to arrive in time for the funeral. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 with interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The deceased was a Civil War veteran,being a member of Company H,Seventh Pennsylvania Calvary. He was also a member of the Odd Fellows No. 432 of Girard,Ohio.
