Alice C.Hoyes;92;of 217 First Ave.;Belle Vernon;died Saturday;April 2;1988;at 10:42 p.m.in Mon Valley Hospital. She was born Dec.2;1895;a daughter of the late Jacob and Lura Lehew Haught. She was the oldest member of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon. She was also a member of the Rebeccas and the Naomi Club. She had been a life-long resident of the Belle Vernon area. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband William C.Hoyes;Jan.1;1967. Surviving are one son;William E.Hoyes of Fort Myers;Fla.;two daughters;Mrs.Anna Morris of Jacsonville;Fla.;and Mrs.Walter (Edythe) Ferencz of Belle Vernon;one sister;Elma Breakwell of Belle Vernon;five grandchildren;seven great-grandchildren;and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Wednesday at 12:30 p.m.with Dr.Thomas St.Clair;of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon;officiating. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.
