Helen M. Jesick; 95; of Market Street; Belle Vernon; died Monday; May 27; 2002; in Country Care Manor; Fayette City. A daughter of the late Peter and Mary Smith Jesick; she was born Dec. 26; 1906; in Fayette City. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon; where she had served as a deacon for several years; a member and past president of the Tuesday Evening Civic Club; and was previously a member of the Belle Vernon Library Board. She retired in 1960 after 20 years as a secretary for the Department of Agriculture in Harrisburg. Survivors include one sister; Margaret Brown; and one brother and sister-in-law; Thomas and Betty Jesick; all of Belle Vernon; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by one sister; Clara Gardner; and six brothers; Paul; James; Edward; Frank; Victor and Maynard Jesick. Friends will be received in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.; a Golden Rule Member Firm; 700 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon; on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. James Ramsey officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Elders and deacons of First Presbyterian Church will meet in the funeral home to hold services Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
