George Yusko,76,of Fayette City,died Sunday,May 27,2001,in Mercy Hospital,Pittsburgh. He was born Aug. 7,1924,in Bentleyville,a son of the late Charles and Anna Phela Yusko. He was a veteran of World War II,having served with the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Holy Resurrecton Orthodox Church,Belle Vernon,Brightwell-Daugherty American Legion Post 484,Fayette City,Monessen American Slovakic Club and Monessen No.2 Fireman's Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a very close friend,Evelyn B. Watson;three brothers, Charles,Mike and John Yusko;and a sister,Anna Komacko. He is survived by his children,George Watson,at home,Angela Persichetti and husband David of Webster,Diane Shaw and husband George of Grindstone;a brother,Joseph Yusko and wife Ellie of Goose Creek,S.C.;three sisters,Helen Morozek and husband Larry of Fayette City,Nancy Mucci and husband Mickey of Perryopolis and Mary Kossol and husband John of Florida;five grandchildren,John,Jason,Ryan,David and Julee;and four great-grandchildren.Jon William,Kirsten,Jacqueline and Gabriel. He is also survived by two daughters,Debbie and Carol Yusko;and a grandson, David. Friends will be received at the ELEY-McCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC.,334 Main St.,Fayette City,on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday,May 31,until 10 a.m. when funeral services will take place. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers,memorial donations may be made to :Leader Dog for the Blind,1039 South Rochester Rd.,P.O. Box 5000,Rochester,Mich.48307. Fayette City American Legion Post 484 will hold services in the funeral home Wednesday at 8 p.m.,followed by Parasas service at 8:30 p.m.
