William "Bill" Wright,aged 23, well-known amatuer boxer, of Monessen,died in the hospital at Cresson, Pa.,Sunday morning,May 25,1941 following a lingering illness. The deceased resided at 404 Ninth street, Monessen. He was employed by the Pittsburgh Steel company and was a member of the Union Baptist Church. His parents are deceased but he leaves three brothers, Avon, James and Mitchell and five sisters, Sylvia,Geneva, Bernice, Frances and Betty. The remains are at the G.A. Warden funeral home,645 McMahan Avenue, Monessen,where funeral services will be held Wednesday,May 28,at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. G.A.Warden is the funeral director.
