Mrs.Elma D.Vaughen of 351 Pennsylvania avenue;North Charleroi;died at her home;July 10;1952;at 12:01 a.m.;after an illness of several months. Mrs.Vaughen was born in Pittsburgh;April 16;1890;the daughter of Joseph J.and Martha Gillespie Snyder. She came to Charleroi twenty-six years ago from Monessen;and was a member of St.Jerome’s Church. She is survived by her husband;Lee L.Vaughen;two sons;Lieutenant Commander;William L.Vaughen;U.S.Navy;Richard D.Vaughen at home;one daughter;Betty Vaughen at home;one sister;Mrs.James P.Quaill of Avalon;and three grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Francis C.Slezak Funeral Home. Requiem high mass will be sung at St.Jerome’s Church;Monday;July 14;1952;at 9 a.m.by Rev.James Mckeever. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon cemetery. Francis C.Slezak is the funeral director.
