John Edward Von Bergen,aged 24 years, 1116 Schoonmaker avenue,died Tuesday,May 13,1952,in Parchman,Miss. Surviving are his wife,Mrs. Betty Von Bergen;two children,John Joseph and Elaine;his mother,Mrs. Helen Shorter,and his step-father,Thomas Shorter,of Monessen;a step-brother,Thomas Shorter,Jr.of Pricedale;and a step-sister,Mrs. Betty Patterson,of Pricedale. Friends are being received at the late home,Saturday morning. Funeral services will be held Tuesday,May 20,at 1 p.m.,from the Draper Funeral Home,with Rev. H.A. S. Cooke,of the Union Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Beverly C. Draper,funeral director.
