Mrs. Mary Vern,aged 76 years,died at her home in North Belle Vernon on Sunday,June 30,1940. She leaves her husband, seven sons, Humber and Earnest of Pricedale,Adolph and Hobert,of Maryland,Lawrence of Greenock, Pa,John of Pittsburgh,William of Youngstown,Ohio and Frank of Pricedale;four daughters, Mrs. Joseph Ferguson of Youngstown, Ohio,Mrs. James Fisher of New Castle,Mrs. Ida Fluke of New York City and Mrs. Ben Nicholls of Fayette City;thirty-five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Friends will be received at the late home until Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock when funeral services will be held,the Rev. George Guest,Marion Presbyterian Church pastor,officiating. Interment will be made in Belle Vernon Cemetery. John L. Bake,Fayette City funeral director, in charge.
