Death at 2 o'clock Monday morning, December 28,1936 removed one of the pioneer residents of Monessen,when Lewis Vernaccini died at the home of his son,Emil Vernaccini,on Reed avenue. He was aged 85 years. Born in Florence,Italy,Mr. Veraccini came to this country 47 years ago and four years later located in Belle Vernon,removing to Monessen, twenty-five years ago where he has since resided. His wife preceded him in death four years ago. Surviving is one son,Emil Vernaccini and two grandchildren,Everett and Dolores Vernaccini. Funeral services will be held from the home,Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock,with interment to follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
