Mrs.Olga Sands;69;of Fayette City R.D.1 died Thursday;April 7;1949;at 2:25 p.m.in the Charleroi-Monessen hospital. She was born in Finland and was a member of St.Luke’s Lutheran Church in Monessen. She was preceded in death by a son Sgt.David Sands;who was killed in action in Germany on Nov.22;1944. She is survived by her husband;Oscar Sands;two sons;Leon and Oscar;Jr.;of Fayette City;four daughters;Mrs.John Macket;of Fayette City;R.D.;Mrs.Felix Daniels;of Belle Vernon;R.D.2;Jane;at home and Mrs.B.M.Culpepper of Portsmouth;Va. Friends are being received at the McCrory Funeral Home in Fayette City and on Monday;April 11;at 11 a.m.the body will be brought to the St.Luke’s Finnish Lutheran Church in Monessen;where services will be held at 2 p.m.in charge of Rev.Leppa Luoto of New Castle.
