Rev. Lewis Steward,58, of 305 Highland street, Belle Venron,died at his home,Thursday,July 3,1947,at 9:45 p.m. of complications,after an illness of eight months. Rev. Steward is a retired pastor of Mt. Arrot Baptist Church of Cardale and former pastor of Antioch Baptist Church of Belle Vernon,which he built in 1925;and Morning Star Baptist Church of Scottdale. He was former First Vice Moderator of the Youghiogheny Baptist Association. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Alfreda Steward;one step-daughter,Mrs. Katie Smith of New York City; a grandchild,Mrs. Norma Banks,of New York City;a sister,Mrs. Hattie Epps,of Hartford,Conn.;seven nieces;five nephews and his mother-in-law,Mrs. Marion Barnes,at home. Friends will be received at the late home in Belle Vernon. Services will be held at Antioch Baptist Church,Belle Vernon,July 7 at 12 o'clock. Interment at Belle Vernon Cemetery. Francis A.
