John Surovchak,aged 79 years,died Friday,May 24,1946,at 9:30 p.m.at his home,915 Henry street,Belle Vernon,after a year's illness. Surviving are his widow,Mrs.Mary Surovchak;five daughters,Mrs.Mary Sholtis of Monessen,Mrs.George Brindzak of R.D.Belle Vernon,Mrs.John Buchta of Webster,Mrs.Julia Kurtak of Canton,Ohio and Mrs.John Yasenka of Carnegie;two sons,Michael of Belle Vernon and Andrew,at home;23 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren;three brothers,Andrew of Hazelton,Michael of Monessen and a stepbrother,Andrew,of Ellwood City. Friends will be received at the late residence. Services will be held at St.John's Slovak Lutheran Church,Charleroi,Tuesday,May 28,1946,at 2 p.m.,in charge of Rev.A.B.Svasko. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold R.Toner is the funeral director.
