Obituary

William H.Simpson,age 60 years,died at his home at 608 Lookout avenue,Charleroi,Friday,April 30,1943 at 4:15 a.m. after an illness of five days. He was born in Bristoria,Pa.on May 25,1882 and was a member of the Charleroi Christian Church and the Turner club. He came to Charleroi thirty-six years ago from Waynesburg and was a contractor by trade. He is survived by his wife,Mary Ann Hays Simpson,two sons,Theodore of Clairton and Wayne of Brightwood,two daughters,Mrs.David McCuen of North Charleroi and Mrs.William Parsons of Neville Island,Pa.,four brothers,Dave of Greene County,Samuel of Washington,Pa,James of Claysville,John of Waynesburg,and four sisters,Emma Anderson of Waynesburg,Lottie Berry of Pittsburgh,Nancy Jenny of Pittsburgh and Ellen Simpson of Washington. Eight grandchildren also survive. Friends will be received at the late home until time for services on Monday,May 3,1943, at 2 p.m. Rev.Byron R.Mahan will have charge of services and interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Lawrence B.Frye is the funeral director.
