Thomas J.Sims;aged 56 years;died Tuesday night;June 27;1939;at 11:30 o’clock at the home of his daughter;Mrs.Margaret Hewitt;402 Grant street;Belle Vernon;following an illness of five months. He had been employed by the Belle Vernon;Monessen and Fayette City street railway company since 1905 until the time the company discontinued operations several years ago. Mr.Sims is survived by two daughters;Mrs.Margaret Hewitt and Miss Jean Sims;of Belle Vernon;and a son;Edward Sims;of Charleroi. Five grandchildren also survive. Mrs.Sims preceded her husband in death a number of years ago. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon;June 30;at 2:30 o’clock from the Hewitt home;in charge of Rev.Edwin G.Sloan;pastor of the Presbyterian church of Belle Vernon. Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
