Samuel A.Steinbarger;well known resident of North Belle Vernon;dropped dead at 12:30 Monday afternoon;Aug.18;1930;just as he was about to crank his automobile which was standing in front of John McClain’s residence at the corner of Henry and Arch street. The victim was seen to fall backwards;striking his head on the curb. He was carried into the McClain home where two physicians who had been called;pronounced him dead;a victim of a heart attack. The deceased was 62 years of age and seemingly was enjoying the best of health. He was employed at the local plant of the Pittsburgh Steel Company and intended to report to work today after a layoff of a few weeks. He is survived by his wife;Mrs.Mary Steinbarger;two daughters;Mrs.Joseph Wells of Belle Vernon and Mrs.Sherman Goss;of Reedsville;Pa.;also two sisters;Mrs.Charles Raughman;of Monaca and Mrs.Dolphus Knox of Altoona and a half brother;David Steinbarger;of Lewistown;Pa. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 from the Baptist Church of Belle Vernon with interment in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
