Andrew Sholtis,35,an employee of the open hearth department of the Pittsburgh Steel plant,Monessen,was fatally injured Wednesday morning ,Septermber 22,1926,when he was caught between a column and a heavy box in the open hearth pit. He suffered internal injuries and a broken leg,and had succumbed to his injuries twelve hours after the accident in the Memorial hospital at Monongahela. The deceased has been employed at the mill for some time. He resides at Belle Vernon and is survived by a wife and five small children. Funeral services will be held September 26,at 1 p.m.,from his late home,with further services at the Slovak Lutheran Church,Lincoln avenue. Rev.A.B.Svasko will conduct the last rites,and burial will be made in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
