Death Saturday morning May 16,1925,removed one of Monessen's oldest citizens,when Mr.Christian Schumm died at his home on Manown street,after a lingering illness. Mr. Schumm has been a resident of this city for the past twenty-six years,coming here in 1899. For a number of years,he was engaged in business,and he is well known all over the city. He leaves to mourn his loss,three sons,James and Sam of this city and William of McDonald,Ohio,and two daughters,Mrs.John Gillie of Youngstown and Mrs.H.E.Grinsley,of Warren,Ohio. Mr.Schrumm was twice married,his first wife having died a number of years ago. His widow survives. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Schamm's daughter,Mrs.James A Harper,834 Donner avenue. Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
