Mrs. Irene Lewis Sharp,aged 27 years,wife of James Sharp,and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Lewis of Fallowfield avenue,died at the home of her parents Sunday night,April 13,1924,at 10:15 o'clock. Death was due to pneumonia,from which Mrs. Sharp has suffered for several days. The deceased was one of the best known and highly respected young women of the town and her death comes as a great shock to the entire community. She was born in Bedford,Pa.,June 30,1896. Twenty-five years ago the family moved to Charleroi,where they have resided since. Mrs Sharp entered the Charleroi schools and graduated from the local high school with the class of 1915. She was a devoted member of the Christ Lutheran Church and president of the Pollyanna society of that church. In June 1917,she was united in marriage with James Sharp of Charleroi and to this union two children were born,James and Donald,the latter being a victim of diptheria on March 7,1924. Besides her husband and parents,the deceased is survived by one son,James,and one sister, Miss Velma. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the home of her parents,in charge of Rev. Dr. C.B.King,pastor of the Lutheran Church. Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
