Frank Petitto, 51,of 516 Broad avenue, Belle Vernon,collapsed and died of a heart attack at Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh,at 4:55 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4,1949. Mr. Petitto had just arrived at the hospital for a physical examination when he collapsed in a hallway. He served with the Medical Corps in World War I,was a member of the St. Sebastian Church,Belle Vernon, Post 659,American Legion,Sons of Italy and Prince of Naples Italian Beneficial Society. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Josephine Petitto; two daughters, Mary Theresa and Rose Ann;four brothers, Rocco and Joseph of Belle Vernon and Patsy and John,of Detroit,Mich. and one sister,Rose Petitto in Italy. Friends will be received at the Toner Funeral Home in Belle Vernon until Saturday when funeral services will be held and the body will be take to the St. Sebastian Church for Requiem Mass at 10:30 a.m. in charge of Rev. Fr. Eugene W. Hawkins. Military rites will be accorded by the Belle Vernon Post 659,American Legion. Interment will be in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
