George R. Price,a former resident of Monessen,died suddenly Thursday,October 28,1943,at his home in Youngstown,Ohio,where he has been residing for the past few years. He was 65 years of age. Surviving are his wife,Mrs.Lulu Price and eight children;Mrs. Florence Gwyer,Warren,Ohio,Mrs. Evelyn Wickerham,Eldora,Mrs.Ruth Alexander,Wilmerding,George,Jr.,Arthur and Robert Price,all overseas,Helen and Richard at home. Three sisters,Mrs. Clem Dauvin,Mrs.Clyde Sickles and Mrs.Louis Williams,all of Monessen,also survive,along with a brother,William R.Price of Monessen. The body has been brought to Monessen and taken to the Woodward Home for Funerals,where friends are being received. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon,October 31,at 2 o'clock with Rev. Charles W. Swope,pastor of the Christian Church,officiating. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. Dave H.Woodward,funeral director,in charge.
