Admitted to the Charleroi-Monessen hospital last Monday for treatment of frozen feet,59 year old Elmer Porter,a Lincoln Avenue Estension,Charleroi R.D. resident died Saturday night February 20,1943. Mr.Porter is survived by two daughters,Mrs.Alverta Porter,of Charleroi and Mrs.Clell Hixenbaugh,of Belle Vernon;two sisters,Mrs.Rudolph Berndt and Mrs.John Frost,both of Charleroi,and two brothers from Juniata. Five grandchildren also survive. Friends will be received at the Melenyzer Funeral Home in Belle Vernon until time for services Tuesday,February 23,1943 at 2 p.m. Rev.Edwin G.Sloan will have charge of services and interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Chas. L.and Edwin Melenyzer are the funeral directors.
