Alfred S. Phillips,aged 55 years,of Belle Vernon,died Wednesday,May 5,1937,in the St. Francis hosital,Pittsburgh. He was a well-known resident of Belle Vernon,having been past master of Lodge No.643,F.&A.M.,and a member of the Lodge of Perfection of Uniontown. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. May B. Phillips and three children,Mrs. Winifred P. Davis,of Pittsburgh,Miss Doris Phillips,at home,and George Phillips of Charleroi. Funeral services are announced for Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the residence,in charge of Rev.Edwin G. Sloan,pastor of the Belle Vernon Presbyterain Church. Private burial will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
