Obituary

Mrs.Myrtle Nelson,nee Harvey,age 64 years,widow of William A.Nelson,died suddenly at her home in Tampa,Florida,Sunday,November 23,1952. She was the daughter of Thomas W.Harvey. Mrs. Nelson was a former resident of Belle Vernon,and while living there was an active member of the First Baptist Church,where she was a charter member of the Edna Malston Sunday School Class. She was also a member of several lodges in Belle Vernon,and with her husband,who was employed for many years with the West Penn Power Company,was well known in this district. They left Belle Vernon a number of years ago to go South due to Mr.Nelson's helth,and Mrs.Nelson's last visit to Belle Vernon was this past summer,when she spent several weeks here. Preceded in death by her husband,who passed away two years ago,Mrs.Nelson is survived by three brothers,Price Harvey of Greensboro,Pa.,Albert Harvey of Belle Vernon and Charles Harvey of Monessen,and one sister,Mrs.Ada Grant of Belle Vernon. The body will arrive in Belle Vernon late Thursday afternoon,and friends will be received at the Toner Funeral Home after six o'clock that evening. Services will be held there Saturday,November 29,1952,at 2 p.m.,in charge of Rev.J.C.Puz,pastor of the Belle Vernon Baptist church. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon cemetery. Harold R.Toner is the funeral director.
