Charles K. Niemela, Sr.,aged 79 years, State street, Speers,died Thursday, July 12,1951 at 4:10 a.m.,suddenly at his late home. The deceased was born in Tampere, Finland on January 30,1872. He was a member of st. Luke's Lutheran Church, Monessen. He is survived by his wife,Ida Marie, five sons, Oliver of Fayette City,Everett of Monessen,Charles J. of Speers,and Henry and John,both at home, five daughters, Mrs.Paul Passoja of Monessen,Mrs. Reginald Hancock of Mt. Lebanon,Mrs. Ellis W. Sphar of Charleroi,Mrs. Joseph Connell of R.D.1, Charleroi and Elizabeth at home. One brother, Henry of Ontario, Canada,one sister, Mrs. Emil Aho of Warren,Ohio and 8 grandchildren also survive. Friends are being received at the Melenyzer Funeral Home,700 Broad avenue, Belle Vernon,until Saturday, July 14,when the remains will be taken to St. Luke's Lutheran Church,Monessen at 11 a.m. where friends will be received until 2 p.m. when funeral services will be held.
