Miss Mary Jane Nichols, aged 73 years, died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Margaret Dunkerly, Speers borough. Thursday evening, June I8,1942, at 8:30 o'clock. ShE had been in failing health for the past few months, but death came unexpectedly from a heart attack. She had been a resident of Speers borough for the past 45 years, and was active until the last few years. Besides her sister, Mrs. Dunkerly, she is survived by a nephew, Earl Dunkerly , and a niece, Mrs. John Province of Speers borough. Friends will be received at the home of her niece.Mrs.John A. Provins in Speers borough where funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m.Saturday,June 20 in charge of Rev.Byron R.Mahan,pastor of the Charleroi Christian Church,assisted by Rev.Earl W.Lighthall of the Speers Methodist Church. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Chas L.and Edwin Melenyzer are the funeral directors.
