David Norris;aged 88 years;of Charleroi R.D.;died suddenly at 4:55 p.m. Monday;August 26;1940 of a heart attack. He was born in Twilight borough on May 11;1852 and spent his entire life in that section. His parents were the late Jacob Norris and Lydia Bowman Norris;both Pennsylvania natives. Surviving are three sons;James;Ephriam and Jacob;of Charleroi;four daughters;Mrs.Lottie Reed of Uniontown;Mrs.Anna Johnson of Flint; Mich.;Mrs.Allen (Mary)Griffey of Charleroi and Mrs.Grace Simpson of Pricedale;Pa.;sixteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the late home until Thursday afternoon when services will be held at 2 o’clock;the Rev.John Smith officiating. Interment will be made in Belle Vernon cemetery.
