Paul (Tiff) Zubovic;85;of 500 Blind Lane;Belle Vernon;died Friday;May 11;2001;in his home. A son of the late Frank and Julia Malison Zubovic;he was born Nov.11;1915;in Fayette City. He was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church of Belle Vernon;a life member of Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Department No.2;the Western Pennsylvania and Fayette County Firemen’s Associations and the Southwestern Pennyslvania Chiefs and Assistant Chiefs Association. He was a former member of Teamsters Local 872. He had resided in Belle Vernon since 1953 and served on the borough council for 24 years;until 1979. Mr.Zubovia retired from Pittsburgh Flexicor of Monongahela in 1977;where he was a foreman. Survivors include his wife;Julia Kisko Zubovic;a son and daughter-in-law;Paul and Donna Zubovic of Newell;a daughter and son-in-law;Paulettte and John Bazilewich of Indianapolis;Ind.;two brothers;Frank Zubovic of Uniontown and Edward Zubovic of Donora;two sisters;Jennie Rehnert of Pottsville;Pa.;and Kathryn Cormack of Port Vue;five grandchildren;Eric and Jason Zubovic;Kimberly Ferguson;Julie Dunn and Mary Youngblood;and a great-grandson;Blake Zubovic. Friends will be received in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC.;a Golden Rule Member Firm;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 9 a.m.;followed by funeral Mass at St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m.;with Father John Cindric as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Department No.2 will meet in the funeral home to hold services on Monday at 7:15 p.m.
