Eugene O.Steward;53;of Donora;died Monday;April 30;2001. He was born March 7;1948;a son of the late Hubert and Jannie Lee Steward Johnson. Mr.Steward was employed at Bethlehem Mines in Eighty-Four. He was a member of St.Paul Baptist Church in Donora. He was previously married to Susan D.Steward;who survives. He is also survived by a son;Elgene O.Steward of Monongahela;four brothers;Dwight Steward of Anchorage;Alaska;Daryl Johnson of Washington;Pa.;Israel Johnson of Donora and Hubert Brooks of Donora;four sisters;Hope Betty of Jacksonville;N.C.;Cinamon Johnson of Donora;Lorraine Hicks of Columbus;Ohio;and Linsey Allen of Pittsburgh;two grandchildren;and a host of nieces;nephews;relatives and friends. Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the PERCY E.LAW JR.FUNERAL HOMES INC.;1324 Meldon Ave.;Donora. Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m.in St.Paul Baptist Church;South Mckean Avenue;Donora;with the Rev.Dennis Garner;pastor;officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
