Obituary

John J. McClain, aged 54, 316 Speer street, Belle Vernon, died Sunday, Oct. 26,1952, at 9:30 a. m. at his late home. A veteran of World War I, the deceased was a member of the Baptist Church, Belle Vernon. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Bertha McClain, his mother, Mrs. Jessie McClain, three daughter, Mrs. Emory Brewer, Monessen, Mrs. Robert Burkhart, West Newton, and Ruth Patricia McClain, at home, four sons, John Joseph, George Walter, and Herbert Herman, all at home, and S-Sgt. James E., with the U. S. A. A. F., stationed at Camp Barthsdale, La, three sisters, Bess McClain, Belle Vernon, Mrs Edna Burkhart, West Newton, and Mrs. Maurice Beaker, Coraopolis, and six grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Toner Funeral Home, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon. Funeral services will be held Wednesday,Oct.29,1952,at 2:30 p.m.from the Baptist Church,Belle Vernon,with Rev.James C. Puz officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
