Mrs.Marie Martin,a resident of Monessen for the past 50 years,died Tuesday,October 15,1946,at 1:30 a.m.,following a short illness at her home,636 Third street. She was born in France. She was a member of St.Leonard's Church. Surviving are a son,August Martin,of Monessen;six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Friends are being received at the late home. Funeral services will be held Saturday,October 1,at 10 a.m.from St.Leonard's Church. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Charles L. Melenyzer and Ed.Melenyzer are the funeral directors.
