Jonathan S. Martin,aged 54,of Belle Vernon,died at 10:30 Monday night,October 15,1928 at his home on Water street,following a three weeks illness of heart trouble. The deceased was well known in Monessen having been employed for some time at the Pittsburgh Steel Company plant. Besides his wife,Mrs. Maude Martin,he is survived by a daughter,Mrs. John Valentine and a son Elmer,both of Belle Vernon,also three sisters,Mrs. Mary Castile of California,Pa.,Mrs. William Shannon of Ellwood City,and Mrs. Price Mallory of Masontown and one brother,Lester Martin of Belle Vernon. Funeral services will be held from the late home Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of Rev. Stanley Jewell of the Belle Vernon Presbyterian Church with interment following in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
