Paul Miller;aged 25;of 646 Knox avenue;well known member of the Monessen Volunteer Firemen was found dead in bed this morning;Wednesday;Oct.27;1927. Mr.Miller had been suffering for some time with a goiter;and several months ago was forced to give up his position as mail carrier at the post office and went to Cleveland for treatment preparatory to undergoing an operation. He returned from Cleveland several weeks ago;greatly improved and expected to return in two weeks for the operation. With the advent of fair weather the past few days;he took advantage of the pleasant days to come downtown and greet his many friends and was about last evening;retiring early in his usual health. When he failed to answer calls to his room this morning his brother;Louis;Jr.;went to the room and attempted to arouse him. His efforts were in vain;however;and it was discovered that during the night the young man had passed peacefully away;death probably being due to heart trouble. The deceased is survived by his parents;Mr.and Mrs.Louis Miller and the following brothers and sisters;Louis Jr.;Marie;Martin;Elsie;Evelyn;Ruth and Dorothy. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 Sunday afternoon at the late home;646 Knox avenue;followed with services at St.Paul’s Lutheran Church. Interment will be made in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
