Edward Joseph Lahey;a resident of Monessen for the past 36 years;died Monday night;December 6;1943;at his home;20 Knox avenue;following a lingering illness. Formerly in the employ of the Pittsburgh Steel Company;he has been retired for some time. Surviving are seven children: Mrs.John Tormay;Monessen;Katherine;Nelle;Anna;Agnes and David;all at home and Sergeant Edward Lahey;stationed in Panama. Friends are being received at the home. Funeral services will be held Thursday;December 9;1943;at 9 a.m.from the St.Leonard’s R.C.Church;with Father Owen J.Kirby officiating. Interment;Belle Vernon Cemetery.
