Obituary

Joseph Kendrick of 607 Third street, Charleroi,died suddenly Thursday, December 16,1948,while visiting his daughter, Mrs. Frank Kohut in Akron,Ohio. He was born in Birmingham,England,April 7,1974,the son of Richard and Ellen Stephens Kendrick. He was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church,where at one time he served as a Vestryman.  He came to Charleroi in 1892 from Birmingham,England,and was a retired Corning Glass worker. He is survived by two sons, John J. Kendrick of Charleroi,William R. Kendrick of Charleroi,two daughters,Mrs. Frank Kohut and Mrs. Loretta Coulson,both of Akron,Ohio,two sisters in England,seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Friends will be received at the Lawrence B. Frye Funeral Home.  Services will be held there,Monday,December 20,1948,at 10 a.m.,in charge of Rev. Joseph N. Wittkofski.  Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Lawrence B. Frye is the funeral director.
