Stephen Kovatch;Sr.;age 66 years;of Fairhope;died in Charleoi-Monessen Hospital;Thursday June 29;1944;at 5:30 a.m. He was born August 20;1877;in Austria-Hungary;and was a member of St.Edward’s Church;Fayette City. He is survived by his wife;Mary Kovatch;three daughters;Mary Popelas of New York City;Ann Banjor of Fayette City;and Eliabeth Hamilton of Pittsburgh;three sons;Stephem;stationed in Rhode Island;with the U.S.Navy;John of Fayette City;and Andrew of McKeesport. Five grandchildren also survive. Friends will be received at the late home. Services will be held there Sunday;July 2;1944;at 3 p.m.;followed by additional services in Sr.Edward’s Church;Fayette City;at 3:30 p.m. George M.McCrory and Son are funeral directors.
