Sherman Hawk,513 Donner avenue,Monessen,died Thursday morning,October 4,1945,at 3:30 a.m. after a lingering illness. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Anna Hawk,a son, Herbert Hawk of Lynnwood,,and three grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Check Funeral Home after 7 p.m. on Thursday. Services will be held Saturday,October 6 at 9 a.m.,with additional Rites at St. Leonard's R.C.Church,with Father Owen J. Kirby officiating. Interment, Belle Vernon Cemetery. Joseph R.
