of 216 McKean avenue; Charleroi; died in Charleroi-Monessen hospital;Tuesday; June 26; 1945; at 2:40 a. m.;after an illness of one day. He was a member of the United Brethren Church of Dunlevy; and was employed by the government in the
Liggett Spring and Axle Company in Monongahela. He is survived by his wife; Mrs. Marie O’Leary Haywood; two daughters;Carol and Patricia;his parents;Mr.and Mrs.Melvin Haywood of Allenport;two brothers;Leland at home and Clifton in the Armed Services in France;and one sister;Mrs.Charles Sowden of Roscoe. Friends will be received at the home of his parents;Mr.and Mrs.Melvin Haywood;Sr.;of Allenport. Services will be held there Friday;June 29;1945;at 2 p.m.;in charge of Rev.Meade Rugh and Rev.Mary Elizabeth Kunselman. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
