Mrs. Harriet Maud Holroyd, aged 72 years, died Monday, April 3,1944 at 3:35 a. m., in the McKeesport hospital, where she was admitted Sunday night, following a short illness. The family resided at 212 Aliquippa avenue. Born and reared in this immediate vicinity, Mrs. Holroyd resided in Fayette City up until the time of her marriage. She was an artist of more than ordinary ability and a member of the Christian Church since childhood. Surviving are her husband, Frank H. Holrod, a son, Frank G. Hohoyd, Monessen and a grandson, Seaman Floyd Holroyd, stationed at Great Lakes, III. Two sisters, the Misses Frances, and DeEtta Maud, and a brother, James Maud, of Fayette City, also survive. Friends are being received at the Kelly Funeral Home,where services will be held Wednesday afternoon,April 5,at 3 o'clock,with Rev.C.W.Swope,pastor of the Christian Church,officiating.
