William H. HOFFMAN obit was contributed to the Fayette County USGenWeb Project. (2)

William Henry Hoffman, aged 71, well-known throughout Fayette county, died at 5 o'clock Tuesday morning, at his home in Fayette City, of a complication of diseases. Mr. Hoffman was a master mechanic at a number of county mines and also operated a plumbing establishment for many years in Uniontown.
Mr. Hoffman was a 2nd degree Mason, being affiliated with Masonic bodies in Masontown, Uniontown, and Pittsburgh.
Surviving is the widow, Essie Hoffman, three children, Roy H., of Connellsville, Arthur J., Scranton, and Mrs. Eletha Cocking, of Los Angeles, two sisters, Mrs. L. F. Athey, Tarentum, and Maude, of Baltimore, and two brothers, Robert, and George, both of Fairhope. His former wife, Birdie D. Bliss, preceded him in death 20 years ago.
Short services will be held at 2:30 Friday afternoon at the family residence, followed by additional rites in the church. Burial will be in Belle Vernon cemetery.
