William H. HOFFMAN obit was contributed to the Fayette County USGenWeb Project. (2)
William Henry Hoffman; aged 71; well-known throughout Fayette county; died at 5 o’clock Tuesday morning; at his home in Fayette City; of a complication of diseases. Mr. Hoffman was a master mechanic at a number of county mines and also operated a plumbing establishment for many years in Uniontown.
Mr. Hoffman was a 2nd degree Mason; being affiliated with Masonic bodies in Masontown; Uniontown; and Pittsburgh.
Surviving is the widow; Essie Hoffman; three children; Roy H.; of Connellsville; Arthur J.; Scranton; and Mrs. Eletha Cocking; of Los Angeles; two sisters; Mrs. L. F. Athey; Tarentum; and Maude; of Baltimore; and two brothers; Robert; and George; both of Fairhope. His former wife; Birdie D. Bliss; preceded him in death 20 years ago.
Short services will be held at 2:30 Friday afternoon at the family residence; followed by additional rites in the church. Burial will be in Belle Vernon cemetery.
