Obituary

Miss Belle Henry,who for the past twenty-two years has been a resident of Monongahela,died at her home in Lawrence street,Monongahela,Friday morning,November 27,1936 following an illness of one year.  She was born at Mays Landing,N.J.,on September 2,1864 and was a daughter of the late John S.and Martha Barrett Henry.  When an infant she was brought to Belle Vernon,Pa.,where she lived until going to Monongahela to make her home with a sister,Mrs.A.A. Van Hook,who died on October 22 of this year.  She attended California Normal School.  Later she continued her education in art,studying under a renowned teacher of that day in Pittburgh.  She was a life long member of the Methodist Episcopal Church.  Surviving are one sister,Mrs.J.H.Lowdes,of Charleroi and two brothers,John S.Henry,Jr.,of Los Angeles,California,and Isaac F.Henry,of Oklahoma.  Funeral services will be held at the late home,822 Lawrence street,Monongahela,Sunday,November 29,1936 at 3 o'clock with interment following in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
