Obituary

A former resident of Pricedale met a violent death Saturday,August 25,1951 in an accident near Shepherd's Field,Ky. Details concerning the accident were sketcy,but it was reliably reported that James LeRoy Forsythe,aged 41 years,was killed when he was forced off a high bridge by a trailer truck.  He reportedly was walking across the bridge and in his attempt to get away from the truck fell over the railing.  His body is being returned to Pricedale for burial and is scheduled to arrive in Pittsburgh on Wednesday night at 10:30.     He is survived by his parents,Mr.and Mrs.Oliver Forsythe,of Belle Vernon;a son,James LeRoy,Jr.,and daughter,Carol Ann;three sisters,Mrs.Cyril Brown,of Pricedale,Mrs.Virginia Swan,of Belle Vernon,Marian Forsythe,of Belle Vernon;five brothers,John Oliver Forsythe,of Fairhope,Wilbur J.Forsythe,of Pricedale,Thomas C.Forsythe,of Monessen,David E.Forsythe,of Pricedale,and Bernard Forsythe,of Belle Vernon. The remains will be taken to the home of his sister,Mrs.Brown in Pricedale.  Friends will be received at the Brown residence until Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock when funeral services will be conducted.  Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Harold R.Toner,funeral director.
