Obituary

Nicola Fantini,aged 60 years,a resident of Belle Vernon,for the past 27 years,died suddenly Wednesday, December 23,1942,at his home,16 Mulberry street, Belle Vernon. Completing his day's work at the Pittsburgh Steel,Mr. Fantini became suddenly ill as he alighted from the bus and summoned aid to be taken home. He died before a doctor arrived.  He was a member of St. Sebastian's Church,the Belle Vernon Musical Society and an honorary member of the Italian Beneficial society. Surviving are his wife, Mary Ann,a son,Camillo at home,three daughters, Julia at home and Jennie and Rose in Pittsburgh. One grandchild also survives,along with a brother, Domenick Fantini of Cleveland.  Friends are being received at the late home.  Services will be conducted Monday,Dec. 28,at 10 a.m.,from the St. Sebastian Church, Belle Vernon,with Father Dennis Boyle officiating.  Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
